Privacy policy
Last updated October 16, 2026.
This page explains, in plain words, what happens to your information when you visit my website, get in touch with me, book an appointment or shop in my online store.
The person behind this website.
I am Ilene Brown, owner of Expressions Hair Design, Inc., 77 Tarrytown Road, White Plains, NY 10607. This website runs on Squarespace, which hosts the site for me.
I do not sell your information, and I do not share it with anyone for their marketing.
Calls, emails and forms.
When you call or email me, I see what you share: your name, your phone number or email address and your message. If I add a contact form to this site, whatever you type into it reaches me by email through Squarespace.
I use these details only to answer you and to schedule your visit. Please keep messages to scheduling questions. I go over your hair and scalp history with you in person, at your consultation.
Appointments go through Square.
The Book buttons on this site take you to Square Appointments, a booking service run by Square (Block, Inc.). When you book, Square collects details such as your name, phone number, email address and payment card, and it handles them under Square's privacy notice.
I see your booking details in my Square account so I can get ready for your appointment. I do not see your full card number.
Orders go through my Squarespace store.
When you buy from my online shop, the Squarespace checkout collects details such as your name, email address, phone number, shipping address and payment card. Your card is processed by the payment service connected to my store, not by me, and Squarespace handles your details under Squarespace's privacy policy.
I see your order details in my Squarespace account so I can fill your order and contact you about it. I do not see your full card number.
What the site notices when you visit.
Squarespace uses some cookies to make the site work, and it keeps basic visit statistics, such as which pages were viewed, the type of device and the general area a visit came from. I only see these as totals, not as a record of you.
I do not use Google Analytics on this site right now. If I turn it on, I will update this page first.
Google reCAPTCHA.
Squarespace uses Google reCAPTCHA on forms and checkout to keep out spam and bots. reCAPTCHA looks at information such as your device and how you use the page. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to it.
Links that leave this site.
Some links take you to other websites, such as Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps and Square. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and I do not control what they collect. My online shop is part of this website.
Ask me anything about your information.
If you have a question about this page, or you would like me to delete the details I have about you, call me at (914) 948-3680 or email expresshair2000@gmail.com.
